By this point in the open enrollment cycle, much of the planning is likely done. Benefits have been selected, timelines are set, communications are taking shape, and systems are being configured.
Before enrollment opens, there’s value in shifting from preparation to pressure-testing: looking at the experience as a whole and asking how well it will hold up once real employees, real questions and real volume enter the picture.
That means following the data that makes enrollment possible, navigating the experience from an employee’s perspective, checking whether support resources deliver consistent answers, and considering what happens when something inevitably veers from the expected path. It also means looking beyond the enrollment deadline to make sure employees can successfully move from choosing a benefit to using it.
You may not anticipate every issue, but testing a few critical points now can reveal friction while there’s still time to address it.
