2017 Alegeus Broker and Employer CDH Insights Report Explores Key Stakeholder Insights

Research affirms that benefit brokers and employers view consumer-directed healthcare offerings to be mission critical to their future success.

These key stakeholders believe account-based benefits are the future of healthcare.

Alegeus is pleased to unveil its 2017 Healthcare CDH Stakeholder report: new industry research aimed to better understand the attitudes, preferences and perspectives brokers and employers exhibit during the journey to consumer directed healthcare. The program surveyed more than 500 employers and 500 benefit brokers to identify and explore the key motivators, biases, business needs, and solution preferences of the CDH distribution channel.

Brokers and employers are critical to the proliferation of consumer directed healthcare (CDH) benefits in the market (including high deductible health plans and account-based offerings such FSAs, HSAs, HRAs) – as well as the consumer’s ability to comprehend and realize their value. This research reflects an industry problem – while brokers and employers understand the strategic value and impact account-based benefit programs bring to the market, they still need significant support to maximize adoption and realize the full value consumer directed healthcare can deliver.
